M's Old Faithful Sweater

We wanted to thank Erin and the team at MK for their support and their great products. I personally love the blue XL MK Old Faithful I have and wear it all the time. We test a ton of clothes and gear every year and we can say MK's clothing is top flight quality and very well priced. Keep up the great work, MK.

This coat rocks. It is soft, warm, comfy and gets more compliments everyday I wear it. The fit is great- I went XXL because I am a big boy and I love it. Rugged looking but nice enough to wear to dinner.

Just visited an outdoor shop I worked at a few years back and they had this jacket in stock. Unfortunately, it was a little out of my budget at the moment, but I tried it on none the less. I'm 5`9 and the XL fit me to a t. The length was perfect, the fit of the shoulders was like a tailored sport coat and the fabric was impeccable. If you've got the money, and want a stylish piece that can be worn both outdoors with MK's or over a sport shirt with jeans, give this a shot. This style of jacket goes with everything in you're closet; a definite bang for your buck!

The MK Old Faithful sweater certainly lives up to its name. I've been wearing mine for almost a year now and it gets better with each day. The jacket is soft and warm as well as form-fitting and stylish. I wear it to and from the martial arts school, to work and out and about to the bars. It never looks out of place. The construction of the sweater is top notch and after repeated use, I can say no aspect of the design is flawed. The zippers don't snag, the stitching doesn't come undone and the button snaps don't rip out. The jacket shows light pilling but then again, what jacket or garment won't after this much use. More importantly, despite regular contact against suitcase and backpack straps as well as resting on my elbows, the fabric on shoulder and elbow areas is not worn down or abraded. The MK Old Faithful sweater is great for layering underneath the MK Stagecoach Jacket (Equally as awesome and faithful as the Old Faithful) I just purchased. It is a great stand alone jacket for the fall and for early spring. I've used this jacket as a pillow on long flights, as a ground cloth at the beach and as a blanket when pulled over on the side of the road during long road trips. Other than "faithful" I would describe this jacket as versatile. I already plan on buying another MK Old Faithful Jacket in another color. Hell, if you can have multiple colors of Mountain Khakis pants, why not jackets too? You really can't go wrong with this jacket. I promise you it will become a faithful companion on all your trips as well.

This is by far the best jacket I have owend in years. It's a perfect three season jacket and can even been used on cool summer nights. It looks great at the bar, or at a nice restaurant with my wife. This may be my favorite MK product! Matt

MK has some of the best products around. I just purchased my second OF Sweater and thought some would find this helpful as it would have been for me. I bought my first sweater in the Oatmeal and was very pleased with it as it was a jacket and sweater all wrapped into one. I just ordered and received my new OFS in Navy and am very pleased with it; however, it is lighter material in the collar, so I would say it's more of a full zip sweater now than jacket/sweater combo. With that said, if that's what you're going for or are OK with that (like I am) then this will not disappoint.
*Note from MK: since this sweater was added to the line a year ago, Fall 2012, we have changed the fabrication in the collar only to account for less peeling for those men with bears/scruff. There has been no change to the fabric in the body.

Is it a jacket? Is it a sweater? To me, it's a zip up sweater. My blue Old Faithful tends to look and act like a jacket, but the soft hand and comfort are those of a sweater. I think MK got it right with this one, no matter what you decide to call it.

I have the charcoal in a size Large. I wear it to work with a collared shirt underneath, I wear it to walk the dog, I wear it with jeans when I'm going out and I wear it when I'm hanging out around the house. When I recently travelled to Europe it was the only sweater I brought, I wore it out to a fancy dinner and then skied in it the next day. Amazingly versatile clothing item.
