    • living in ohio there is not much call for rugged pant, but these pants take you to the mountains you hold in your heart! These things are a beast and take a beating, everything for chasing the dog through empty soy bean fields, to climbing trees. You can snag them and they are so well built if you give a little yank to free yourself your more likely to destroy what you're attached to! The only down size is they are a little small in the waist I wear a 10 in all the other MK but these I wish I would have gone up a size(don't get me wrong you wear them and the loosen up a little bit bur still would be nice to slide into them with out a fight ) all in all great pants! Will buy more!

    • Compared to other utility pants from other manufacturers, I have two words that describe these pants. Light & Durable. The perfect combination of a hard working pant and a comfortable light weight pair of your favorite broken in pair of jeans. These pants are fantastic. On cool fall days/nights they keep you plenty warm, yet during a river de-rig in 100 degree weather they manage to keep you cool. I'm a huge fan of these pants, I wore them every day on the river trip and on the flight home I still looked presentable... by a river guides standards, but I will say the pants looked great. A great fit, very true to size, and simply comfortable. I love love LOVE my MK Alpine Utility Pants.

    • These are the pants I throw on to walk into town for coffee on a Saturday morning or take the dogs hiking on Sunday. They are thick, durable, warm, and comfortable. The length works well with a pair of boots. They are a bit snug in the waist, as of other reviews have pointed out, but not uncomfortable.

    • When I first met my fiance' Jennie, I was wearing my alpine mens alpine utility pants. She had always said my butt is what got her attention lol. The smile on her face( and mine) when she got hers was juust breathtaking!! She always wants to wear them. We are true outdoors people. These pants withstand the rigors of the trail!! The fit is amazing!! Its like they were made just for her. Thank you so much MK!!!

    • I just got a chance to try out my Alpine Utility Pants while doing some of trail work in the Florida scrub. I was more then please how they fought back the cat brier and saw palmetto! These heavy duty work pants will serve me well as I continue to trek through almost un-passable overgrowth while making me look good. Fit is good, a bit smaller in the waist than I would want but a good reminder to stay fit! Great product, way tougher than I expected!

    • I just took my new pair of Alpine Utility Pants for a swing the other day. I bought them to serve as a hiking/working pant that will look good and hold up to mistreatment. Yesterday we climbed a mountain called Slick Rock, a large California granite dome. The pants kept my legs safe as we approached through thick Sierra shrub and my butt safe as I slid down the steep granite on my way back down. I was pretty rough on these pants and they didn't start to any show wear at all. I imagine I will get many trips out of these pants, they are tough and they look good.
