Our AUS is the standard for the outdoorsman rugged canvas short. Whether you're on the river or on belay, you'll appreciate the angled-access back cargo pockets with hook & loop tabs. Made with our proprietary 10.4oz organic cotton canvas, they rarely make it to the closet. Includes all MK signature features: inseam action gusset, hidden right pocket and angled front pockets, triple-stitched seams, grosgrain-lined waistband, extra bar-tac reinforcements plus utility pocket and double-layer seat panels double as drop pockets. An MK original. 100% 2-ply organic cotton. Relaxed fit.

Alpine utility short

After years this company continues to offer high quality clothing. Great fit, quality sewing and seems, and great customer service. Recently purchased something from kühl which fell apart this was three weeks ago and they still haven't gotten back to me. Mountain khakis gets back within hours. Thanks so much!

Best ever

only shorts I’ve been wearing for the last few years. I think I own five or six pairs because they’re hard to find in my size so when I see them I buy them. 42X7 or 44X7 with a belt. Not everybody wants to wear long stupid shorts that go over their kneecaps. Went down to the outlet in Castle rock Colorado a couple weeks ago and cleaned them out of those sizes because I can’t find them anywhere else online or wherever. If you discontinue them that will really suck and I won’t be very happy.

"Alpine Short is an all time Favorite"

The Best Short Mountain Khakis has ever made. I have numerous pairs and they are my favorite shorts. Please do not discontinue this Mountain Khaki Classic Design!!!

Literally, the only pants I wear

OK, MK wants me to give a review. Here it is. About six or so years ago I wore Carhartt all the time, but my then college-age son gave me a pair of MK Alpine Utility Pants for Christmas. I loved them. Other than for dress-up occasions (when I wear MK khakis), the only pants I ever wear are either MK Alpine Utility Pants (cold weather) or MK Alpine Utility Shorts (warm weather). I never wear anything else - so how's that for an endorsement?
