Men’s Mountain Trucker Jacket completes the MK jacket lineup!

It’s like the Teton Twill and the Stagecoach Jacket melded perfectly! It has a flannel lining for colder days while not being as heavy as the Ranch Stearling Jacket – which is perfect for the coldest days! The vertical-striped lining makes the jacket. It just makes you FEEL good when you put it on for the first time you need a jacket in the Fall.

Nice jacket, but not quite as good as the one it replaced

I purchased this jacket and the Men's Stagecoach Jacket, which it seems to have replaced, this Spring so a comparison seems apt. Both jackets are roughly the same weight. The styles are quite different but I'll just say that I like both and your taste may favor one or the other. Overall, the Mountain Trucker jacket is a very nice jacket. The exterior is heavy canvas; tough enough to wear outdoors and not have to worry about rips or tears if you are walking through deep woods or some other inhospitable terrain. The flannel lining is a notch below the Stagecoach jacket (it is looser for some reason) but appears warm and is comfortable. Both jackets fall just below the waist and have enough length to cover oneself adequately (the Stagecoach Jacket actually "dips" a bit further in the back than the front, which was a nice touch). The collars are both canvas so a scarf or something to cover neck will be required in colder weather (unless you go to a heavier coat). The cut of the trucker jacket is fairly tight although you can easily wear a flannel shirt under it. A sweater may present a bit more difficulty (and this is where the "looser" flannel lining may be problematic). The Stagecoach Jacket had a looser cut, IMHO; even though I got a size smaller than usual, I can still layer underneath it a bit easier. Both jackets have plenty of pockets (the Trucker Jacket has 7, the Stagecoach Jacket has 8). The pockets on the Trucker Jacket are as follows: two with snap closures on the chest, one zip closure inside left, one with no closure inside right, two hand pockets at the waist, and one zip pocket inside the left hand waist pocket. Overall, plenty of spaces to store stuff as needed but not quite as useful as the pocket layout on the Stagecoach Jacket (all of the interior pockets have zip closures, which is helpful). Generally speaking though, I have no issue with the pockets on either coat. Overall, my impression is that the Trucker Jacket is a more fashionable coat and the Stagecoach Jacket is a bit more practical (and not all that unfashionable). I find the latter to be better overall but the newer model is still a good coat.
