These pants saved my bacon. Big time.

I enjoy free flight, and was looking forward to soaring ridge life on day that could have lasted hours upon hours. With the wind perfect, I set up early in the morning, when it was still freezing outside, with thermal underwear plus the Mountain Khakis Flannel-Lined Mountain Pants. By mid-day, conditions were perfect... but my proficiency was not. Only 15 seconds after launch, I crashed into a cable line, followed by another pilot's empty rig, followed by gravel.

You know how they say to wear the right protective clothing when riding a motorcycle? Well, little did I know the cold weather gear I still had on would SIGNIFICANTLY protect my legs from the gravel... but they did. No broken bones, no fractures, just a scraped up knee. I've had worse bicycle accidents.

Anyway, without my Mountain Khakis on, I may have lost at least one kneecap that day. Out of all the gear that I blew that day, my MKs will be the FIRST thing I replace. Not worth an arm and a leg? I'd argue definitely worth both legs. THANK YOU MOUNTAIN KHAKIS!

I love them

I was waiting for the weather to turn a bit before writing s review. My first impressions were great. The color was what I expected and I found the fit to be true to size once I wore them for about an hour.

I have worn them for about 6 or 7 days now in a mix of weather. I was surprised and impressed how well they handled cold mornings to almost warm afternoons without me wanting to put on a lighter weight pant. As other people have said the fleece lining makes it feel like pajamas. I am so didn’t realize that I needed the stash pocket (behind/underneath the right front pocket) in my life!

My only criticism of the pant is that there appears to be a hole starting on the rear left pocket. I expected to patch them at some point, just not within the first few months.

Overall, I love this pant!
